Wow, so y'all're actually going to be posting over again, good stuff.
I've heard skillful and bad reports of silicone stuffing, simply for the price, I'd say it's worth a try at least. I don't retrieve it could actually do whatsoever impairment...
I haven't washed it even so becuase I don't have spare mounts. I know your supposed to permit it sit and cure for quite a few days. I know SCC or SS did it on there budget racer Nissan SER. I would have to imagine it would last quite awhile seeings how what it'south intended utilise is.
already have done this on my tranny mount. 3m windshield urethane is the ticket. havent had any problems even so.
I only did it to my trans mount too. Seems to exist property upwardly ok. Definetely alot less movement in the mount itself.
Hey mike.
DEFINETLY worth it. Use 3m windshield agglutinative. Comes in a white caulk tube you can become anywehre even home depot. I filled ALL my mounts, AND got a marking pain dogbone mount, and I can tell you lot it'south perfect. Non as well much vibration, simply very little play. I highly reccomend replacing all the mounts though, an dusing new ones to fill. I did mine when I did my tranny swap.
use a very proficient caulk gun as this stuff is super thick, I broke a cheap caulk gun with it. If y'all have access to an electrical i, they rock! make certain you piece of work on something y'all don't like and WEAR GLOVES. This stuff is disgustingly sticky, you can't get it off annihilation, it'south like tar. For that reason though, it volition last a very very long time. It's basically a polyurethane compound just similar aftermarket mounts are made of.
To smooth it out, Issue taught me a ncie trick, you lot tin use a peice of ice, since it melts on contact it tin't stick to it.
To cheque to see if it'southward dry, cheque it like a cake. Stick a pin in it, and pull the pin out, the depth on the pin that comes out black/gummy, is still wet. I'd let them dry out for at least 2 days though.

Ya I did my two motor mounts. My upper tranny mount (2.2) has been weled over with steel. I created my own lower poly dogbone since the MP ones are no longer bachelor. I think it cost me $20 and an hour or so.
The results are great and dont rattle my teeth out like when I had all solid mounts....
